PORTRAITS that POp!
I'm going to be running my first ever WORKSHOP at the end of October, co-hosted with Sony New Zealand.
I've recently signed on as a Sony Digital Imaging Advocate and this has given me the fantastic opportunity to extend myself into sharing and talking about my photography. In putting together my first workshop I wanted to pull back the curtain for beginners and perhaps even intermediate level photographers who want to get into studio portraits but haven't yet had the opportunity.

I'll be discussing my approach to portrait photography, in studio at Courtenay Studios, Wellington on Sunday 27 October 2024.
It's a two-hour hands-on, workshop where I'll be demonstrating live how I direct to capture my style of portrait. I'll be using the new Sony 85mm F1.4 GM II lens and participants will have the chance to try it out as well.
We'll have a hair and makeup artist, a stylist and a model for a live demonstration photo shoot. I'll also be photographing participants so they can experience what it's like to be on the other side of the camera! So everyone will go away with not only some skills and experience in the studio, but also their very own professional portrait image.
I've created a morning and an afternoon version of the workshop, as I know weekends can be busy. Tickets are available on the Sony Scene website, and every registered attendee goes in the draw to win a trip to Greece!
